The Berea Movement

The Berea Movement is the core ideal of Seoul Sungrak Church. This Berea Movement is based upon Acts 17:11, 12 which says, “Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. Therefore many of them believed, along with a number of prominent Greek women and men.” This Berea Movement is a laity movement, for all believers have the right and the power as the disciples of Jesus. Simply, the basic idea of the Berea Movement is "to go back to the Bible from the selected and man-centered doctrines. The foundational teaching of the movement is the “Picture of God’s Will.” In the big picture from God's view, the purpose of Jesus's incarnation and crucifixion is not only for saving mankind but also judging the devil. In this view, the evil seems to still work but their legal power already destroyed by the name JESUS. Therefore knowing God's will is the key to success to walk with God unto Heaven.
