     The history of Seoul Sungrak Church started with the first worship service with seven people on November 30, 1969 in Shingildong of Youngdungpo District in Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Kim’s dedication toward God, the powerful words coming from his mouth, and the works of the Holy Spirit which testified the authority of the word were the driving force behind the fast growth of the Seoul Sungrak Church (SSC).
     The first ten years until 1979 were dedicated to planting faith to the congregation so that the foundation for the church growth can be laid. As the motto “Absolute Double” for the years 1980, 1981, 1984 suggests, the 1980’s was the time when complete focus of the church was on growth. As a result, the number of registered members went from 3,950 in 1980 to 37,809 in 1987. The number had multiplied tenfold in just seven years.
In 2009, on the 40th anniversary of the church, the congregation had grown to one of the beggest Baptise church in the world.  For the Lord’s Day worship, there are four services. and there are various types of group Bible studies and systematic academic courses like Berea Academy, which is expected to produce powerful layperson ministers as disciples of Jesus.

Why Need to Know about the Devil

The Bible shows that behind all the works of God, the Devil stands as the enemy. However, it does not mean that the Devil is in equal status with God. God does not fight with him; He just condemns and judges the Devil.
